I love this place! I visited here last week. Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) opened On 29 July 2008. Art, music, theatre, film, design, and cultural/educational events take place in its exhibition and performance spaces.

The BACC has been independently run by the BACC Foundation, set up by The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA).

BACC 12 (12 Years Bangkok Art and Culture Centre) Exhibition looks back at the center’s activities and the people that have played roles in various capacities in cultural life.

This exhibition – Gallery 3 on the 3rd floor.

The BACC building was designed by Robert G. Boughey. Interior space is developed around a central circular atrium that provides a visual highlight when entering the building. It also leads the eye to the upper floors that house the main gallery rooms.

BACC was designed to have high spaces to accommodate the art. In addition the central space should act as a symbol of the building and should set the tone for the entire interior.

BACC is an important icon in Thai culture. It is exciting, inviting and usable, and reflect the dynamism of Thai modern art.

Natural but controlled natural light.

I’ve written a post about BACC’s exhibitions before. If you did not see. Check 1. “BAB 2020″escape routes in Bangkok Art and Cultural Centre , 2. “SPECTROSYNTHESIS II”
