Travel Diary of Chiang Mai | Day 1

It was wonderful 3 days in Chiang Mai. I traveled in October 2020. Today I would like to write about Day 1.

I did not plan to travel. Just decided to travel 1 day ago. hehe

Then booked a bus ticket to Chiang Mai. Departure from Bangkok at 22:00 pm and then arrived in Chiang Mai at 8:00 in the morning. Long time! At this time all domestic flights expensive than older flights. So the bus is better for the budget.

Chiang Mai city view from Doi Suthep mountain

The first day, little tired of the bus trip. In the morning checked-in the guest house. Then rent a motorcycle. Went to Doi Suthep (ดอยสุเทพ), is a mountain (“doi”) west of Chiang Mai, Wat Phra That Doi Suthep (TEMPLE), Bhubing Rajanives Palace is a royal residence (FLOWER GARDEN), Hmong Village ( HILL TRIBE VILLAGE)

at Doi Suthep mountain

Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is a Theravada Buddhist temple in Chiang Mai Province, Thailand. The temple is often referred to as “Doi Suthep” although this is actually the name of the mountain where it’s located. It is a sacred site to many Thai people.

A beautiful and famous temple in Chiang Mai. Must-visit place.

Bhubing Rajanives Palace is a beautiful and famous tourist attraction. Also known as The Royal winter place.

The royal winter Palace was built in 1961. The palace is also the royal guesthouse for prominent State visitors from abroad.

The rose gardens are particularly famous (Suan Suwaree), with temperate plants grown here that are not commonly found in Thailand.

I love this photo. 🙂

Hmong tribal village is a peaceful village at the top of Doi Suthep. It is home of Hmong hill tribe , one of 6 major hill tribes in Thailand.

Hmong tribal village is a big village consists of museum , beautiful garden, houses and souvenir shops.

I had lunch there. Food were so yummy.

At night, go back then went to a famous Thai dessert shop in Chiang Mai. I wrote a note here. hehe (From Mongolia IG uj_happiness 2020.10.23)

Tomorrow, I’ll write about Day 2. Hope you like my post.

Let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Stay safe and take care!
